Card Made using Distress Paints, Dylusions Spray Inks and Prima Mixed Media Doll Stamp

Hi everyone,

I was very excited today to be able to try out the new colours of Dylusions Spray Inks and Distress Paints as well as a beautiful new paper doll stamp from Prima.  So far I am loving the new colours of Dylusions, especially the white linen and I am looking forward to spending some more time using them.  It will come as no suprise that I also really like the new distress paints too and also look forward to using them more too.

So for todays card I picked out some colours I knew I would like and went to work making this card.

Tim Holtz Distress Marker Video

Hi everyone,

Just thought we would share this great video by Tim Holtz sharing some tips for using distress markers.  Whilst we love our copic markers the distress markers are really great markers too - they just do different things.  We expect the new Dylusions Ink Sprays and new distress paints to be in store very soon too!

A Couple of Copic Marker Ideas

Kaisercraft butterfly coloured with copic markers

Hi everyone,

Last time I was in Albany I demonstrated using copic markers and colouring directly on the rubber and then spritzing with isopropyl alcohol to reactivite the ink but I have since discovered that you can just use the colourless blender in a mister bottle instead.  At the time I thought this would be ok but wasn't entirely sure whether this would safe so didn't feel I could recommend it, however there is a great blog post over on the Copic Oz blog sharing about this technique as well as a couple of other ideas.  This gives even more opportunity to use your markers other than just stamping and colouring in.

Valentine's Day card using Flourishes rose stamp and sentiment

Hi everyone,

It has been a little while since I shared a card using copic markers and I got a couple of new stamps this week.  One of them was this gorgeous Flourishes rose stamp.  I am really impressed with how crisp the image is when you stamp these stamps using Memento ink.  Sometimes I have found that not all clear acrylic stamp work well with the Memento ink.  I coloured in the rose using some reds - R32, R35, R37 (these are a blue red/like a cherry red combination) and also added some darker red using R89.

Have you still got lots of Christmas Photos to scrapbook?

Handmade Holiday Layout

Hi everyone,

I am back today to share how I am dealing with all my Christmas photos.  There are lots of different manufacturers now developing products for scrapbooking in divided page protectors.  I think of this type of scrapbooking as making 'pocket pages' although that is probably not a term that other people would recognise as it is just how I think of it.  I have lots of great photos from Christmas Day that I want to be able to look at but don't really want to spend the first few months of the year scrapbooking about Christmas!
