Hi Everyone, Welcome to Stef's papercrafts blog.

We hope to share lots of projects, new products, ideas and inspiration with you.

Some more top picks from CHA

Written by Stef on . Posted in Blog

Hello everyone,

What an exciting time of the craft year it is!  CHA is over for now but there are lots of exciting new products coming over the next 6 months.  There is so much lovely stuff I am having trouble deciding what to order and I am not good at making decisions at the best of times! We shared some links for the new Dylusions and Distress Paints before but now it is time to share some more top picks.  My top picks are the Graphic 45 Collections, new Ranger and Tim Holtz products, the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board, My Minds Eye Collections,Martha Stewart Punches including the Round the Page Circle Punch, some Teresa Collins and Prima lines.  There will be lots of different washi tapes available since just about every company has washi tapes as part of their collections.  Banners are still a big trend and vellum is making a comeback.  If there is something you would like to see in store we would love to hear from you so that we can have your favourite products when you come in.  So now for a couple of links . .

This link for the envelope maker is definitely worth a look.  You can make 60 different sizes of envelopes and it is so cool that it even has a corner rounder built in.  Little envelopes were another common addition to lots of the paper collections so I think we will be seeing a lot more envelopes used in scrapbooking and for cards over the coming year.

And I thought a link for a demonstration of  the Martha Stewart Circle Border Punch was also worth sharing.

Next on the blog, Kristy will be sharing a scrapbook page using divided page protectors.

Have a great long weekend,

Stef

Kaisercraft Botanicals Layout

Written by Kristy on . Posted in Blog

Happy Saturday! I hope you are having a good weekend, with lots of time for making things.

I am back today with a scrapbook layout made using the Kaisercraft Botanicals Collection.  The pic is of my husband and I going to a Christmas function for his work.  I used a cream piece of card for the base of the layout and added some stamping using one of the stamps that is part of the collection.  I modified the butterfly paper by adding some shading using the my copic markers and then by cutting the wings of larger butterfly but was careful not to cut it out completely.  This added a bit more dimension to the page.

Kasiercraft Secret Admirer Card

Kaisercraft Secret Admirer Card

Hi everyone,

Today's project is a card made using Kaisercraft's Secret Admirer Collection, one of my favourite Dusty Attic Chipboard Hearts, some flower ribbon and some washi tape.  I cut the card front from the piece of patterned paper and then I inked around the edges of the main 'panel' of the card using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and then stamped the script stamp using Jet Black Archival ink.  The birdcage was from one of the collectables packs.

One of My Top Picks of CHA - New colours of Dylusion Spray Inks

Written by Stef on . Posted in Blog

Hi everyone,

At the moment over in America is CHA which is where all the different manufacturers come together for a trade show and show off their new products.  These events happen twice a year but even though the manufacturers show off new products not all of them are released at the same time so the new products tend to become available over the next 6 months until the next CHA.

There are heaps of great things released and we can't possibly show you them all but I wanted to share one of the new products that have caught my attention and that we will definitely have in the shop when they become available.  So my first top pick is the NEW colours of Dylusions Spray Inks.  These spray inks interact with water and are great for scrapbooking, making cards and art journalling.  They are great for using with templates/stencils but can also be used just as a regular mist.  Kristy is super excited about the White Linen!

I will be back with some more top picks of CHA but promise not to overload you :)

Double Page Scrapbook Layout using Echo Parker Sticker Accents - Boys

Hi everyone,

I am starting to see the sneak peaks of the products that will be released at CHA this year - there are some beautiful collections and some great new products too!

Today on the blog I am sharing a double page scrapbook layout featuring my boys.  I printed my photos in black and white since they had really bright colours - the blanket was bright red!  The black and white tones really well with the colours in the stickers I wanted to use.

Flourishes Butterfly Blossoms Card

Written by Kristy on . Posted in Copic Markers

Hi everyone,

Happy 2013 !  I can't quite believe that a whole year has passed so quickly and we are already in 2013.  Today on the blog I am showing the card that the ladies who came to the copic marker sessions made.  We practised colouring backgrounds and also used the markers to colour the new Crinkle Ribbon from Tim Holtz.  This is really lovely ribbon and colouring it with copic markers to match the card worked very well.
