I am sharing a vintage style Valentine's Day card using some of the new Spellbinders dies and My Minds Eye Heirloom paper pad. This is another card that doesn't require any stamping although I did use some ink around the edges of papers though.
I decided to use the heart patterned paper and trimmed it slightly so that I could use another patterned paper behind it. I inked the edges using Walnut Stain Distress Ink before stitching the zig zag. I die cut the top two layers of the hearts and then cut the pink patterned paper heart by hand using the die as a template. I distressed the edges of the hand cut heart - this is a great way to disguise any wonky cutting. The heart elements were also inked with the same distress ink.
I inked the wooden heart (by Prima) using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and then used a mixture of Gathered Twigs and Walnut Stain Distress Ink to ink the key. I used some gold cord to tie the wooden shapes together and then layered the lace, the hearts and the wooden shapes onto the pattern paper and the card base.
Over on the Facebook page you can see another Valentine's Day card that doesn't have any stamping either. You can check it out here https://www.facebook.com/StefsPaperCrafts
