Sometimes it is all about the speed. Not something you normally think of in card making but sometimes it is true. There are times when you only a have a few moments to whip up a card so I thought I would share 4 tips I use for making cards quickly (but you could apply them to scrapbooking too). I made this card in less than 5 minutes.
1. Use high contrast or bold patterns. They make a statement and make things visually interesting without needing much else.
2. Keep the design simple. Not too many papers or embellishments.
3. Use bright colours, in combination with black and white. You really can't go wrong with one bright colour and black and white. OR use colour schemes you love.
4. Use pre-made embellishments and sentiments. For this card, everything except the white card base came from the Shine Bright Kaisercraft 6 1/2 " paper pad. If I added a pack of collectables I could make heaps and heaps of cards. The cost per card would be very reasonable too.
Well I hope you try out some of these tips when you need a card in a rush or can only squeeze in 5 minutes of crafting time.
Thanks for stopping by,
