It has been a little while since I shared a card using copic markers and I got a couple of new stamps this week. One of them was this gorgeous Flourishes rose stamp. I am really impressed with how crisp the image is when you stamp these stamps using Memento ink. Sometimes I have found that not all clear acrylic stamp work well with the Memento ink. I coloured in the rose using some reds - R32, R35, R37 (these are a blue red/like a cherry red combination) and also added some darker red using R89.
I wanted to use up some of my old papers so I looked through my christmas paper pads and found a red patterned paper that I liked. Often at least some the double sided papers in christmas themed paper pads can be used for other ocassions if they are not too Christmas-y. So don't forget to check out your supplies particularly if you are looking for reds or greens.
I used a black paint dabber to add some contrast to the papers and layered them on top of the card base, which I covered with washi tape. I added the twine, the pin, the paper clip and the gems to embellish the card.
Thanks for visiting the blog. With the kids going back to school I am hoping to make some more videos in the next couple of weeks :)
