First of all, thanks to all the lovely ladies who came along to our weekend workshop. We saw lots and lots of pages completed (up to 11 each plus a frame) and fun had. We also got to play with some new products - Bo Bunny Glitter paste and shimmer sprays. We have the Prima Colour Bloom Sprays instore and also have the new Bo Bunny Glimmer Sprays.
Now most people have probably seen or heard of spray mists, glimmer sprays or spray inks and seem them used to mist through stencils, create a misted background or colour chipboard/wooden shapes but probably a lesser known use to to use them as a paint.
To create this card I grabbed a prima paintable card, then misted the spray onto my kraft sheet and used a paint brush to paint the glimmer spray onto the leaves. You can add water to dilute the colour a little - ie to get a softer shade of green. The colour I used for this card was Mint but you can check out the Stefs Paper Crafts facebook page for a photograph of the colours available. (Click on the icon at the top of the page)
I created a little extra texture using new Bo Bunny Pearlescent - Butterscotch (but there are other colours available) and using the pen to trace some of the elements of the flower. I also painted some of the pearlescent onto the white flower edges to give more interest to the flower and tone it in with the rest of the card. A card base, some inking with black soot distress ink, Teresa Collins sentiment sticker and some twine were used to complete the card. It didn't take that long to make and you can easily make a beautiful set of cards for someone for Christmas using these techniques.
Thanks for stopping by,
