Today I am sharing a scrapbook layout showing how you can use an embellishment as a title for your scrapbook pages.
For this layout I have used a banner from the My Minds Eye Collectable - Remarkable Day Collection. There is a boy version and a girl verson of the banner. When I saw it I knew I wanted to make it a big part of my overall design and the words really suited my older boy too. I have added some layers underneath and around the photo to keep the eye on the main focus of my layout which is the bright photograph of my son. I made sure I printed the photograph in 5x7 to ensure that the banner title didn't dwarf my photo and kept the embellishments relatively simple so that they layout didn't become too busy either. Arrows are a really popular embellishment in scrapbooking at the moment and are really great for boy layouts in particular.
I mixed in some pattterned papers from the Simple Stories Collection 24/7 and also a new Echo Park Collection - All About a Boy, along with the stickers from the MME Collectable Remarkable collection and a sticker from the 24/7 sticker sheet. The combination of colours and patterns gives the layout a bright and fun feel which suits my subject. I hope you had a great weekend and get some time to try out using embellishments and banners as part of your titles.
