Divided Page Protector Scrapbook Page Using Simple Stories 24/7

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a double page pocket layout using the 24/7 papers by Simple Stories.  Pocket scrapbooking or scrapbooking in divided page protectors is really popular and is a great way to get your photos and stories recorded in a relatively short amount of time.  I am finding this is an excellent way for me to make sure I have the memories that I want to remember all in the same place and is another way of 'backing up my photos' (so if something happened that meant I lost our digital images I would at least have a copy of my favourite photos).  Don't get me wrong I back up our photos on an external drive too.  It is also great for when I want to create a 12x12 layout or even a double page layout that expands on the stories that I have quickly recorded.  I am also finding I can do a bit at a time and I can do this type of scrapbooking when I am tired and not feeling very creative.  My kids are loving looking at the album and laughing at the funny things they say that I have written down and looking at the things we have done.

For this layout I am showing you what I have done with some photos of some things we did in the April school holidays - we went to Jandakot to watch the planes and also caught the ferry into the city for morning tea.  I have spread the photos from these two different events over the two pages to give the layout unity but you could just as easily separate them.  I have added some stickers from the sticker sheet that I think add to the photos and selected some parts of the patterned paper that I can handwrite my journalling on (but you could also print on these cards by using temporary adhesive to attached them to some printer paper and printing journalling using your printer before slipping them into the pockets).  I think with this type of scrapbooking anything goes and there are more and more manufacturers bringing out products to suit this type of scrapbooking so it is easy to adapt it to what you like.

There will be some classes using 'pocket scrapbooking' coming soon so keep an eye on your emails and the facebook page.

Thanks for stopping by,
