Make your own Project Life cards

One of the things I like to do for my project life/pocket page album is make my own cards.  I like to start with either a plain white or fairly neutral ready made card ie grid or basic lines.  Kaisercraft and some other manufacturers make these type of 'plain' or base cards in a pack, but you could easily just use some of your own paper.  Click continue reading to see detailed information about how I made this card.

To make this card I used a newer Kaisercraft stamp from the XO pack (XO is a recent valentine's release) which has a bunch of great sentiments for cards and also these type of cards.  I sprayed some Prima Colour bloom spray onto my craft sheet and then painted it on to the card with a paint brush.  It has a lovely shimmer but isn't overwhelming and by painting it on I have more contol over where the colour goes and it gives a different look to a mist.  When it was dry I used black archival ink to stamp the sentiment.  To create the black border I put some black soort distress ink onto my craft sheet and painted around the edge.  It doesn't need to be neat to give good effect.
