6x8 Album Cover

Written by Kristy on . Posted in Blog

Hi everyone,

I created this album for a friend who had a little girl (less than a year old at the time).  My friend isn't a scrapbooker but she is interested in recording her baby girl's milestones and creating some form a baby album.  I decided that a 6x8 Kaiercraft album with the small divided page protectors and some of the Baby Girl Captured Moments cards to go in the pockets would probably be a quick and easy way for her to do this.

I decorated the album with some old products ie the Chipboard C cutout and the paper flower but used some newer products like Prima Colour bloom spray (to paint the spine of the album pink) plus some mixed media products like gesso and twinkling h20s and some other paints I have had for ages.  I added gyprocking tape before painting the cover to give a little more texture.

I added a couple of photographs that I had taken of her daughter, added an extra pack of pockets to the album and popped a few cards into the pockets to give her an idea of how things would look and gave her the album.  It made a really lovely gift. Perhaps you will feel inspired to decorate the cover and give the gift of a starter album.  Good for babies and maybe even a travel/holiday album.

Thanks for stopping by,

Kristy
