Touches of Gold - Part 3

Gold background

Hi everyone,

Here is a great way to use up extra gold paint, distress stain or mist to create a background for cards or scrapbook pages.  I created this by adding extra water to the excess distress paint that I had left over from the card background I had made.

I also added a bit of extra paint directly to the craft sheet, mixed the water and paint and then simply lay the card over the wet paint and water to create the background.  I moved it around and lifted it to pick up all the paint and then left it to dry.  So quick, easy and gives a great result.  It is like a watercolour background.  You can see a layout that I created for Get It Scrapped using this background foundation and adding lots of colour with drops of mist by checking out the Get It Scrapped article and for extra details on my blog

We still have many more ideas to share for using touches of gold on your projects and will be back with another post later in the week.

Thanks for stopping by,

Kristy
