Today there are 2 ideas for using gold on your projects - glitter paste and creating a starry night sky with distress poducts and gold mist. A favourite product for adding gold to my projects is Gold glitter paste - this is just gorgeous used with stencils (just be sure to clean it off straight away though). You can get glitter paste in other colours too and it gives a really sturdy result - that glitter isn't going anywhere!
For this card front I have used the new Kaisercraft stencil - Christmas Quarters and the Bo Bunny glitter paste. Then I have used the new distress colour - blueprint sketch. First I used the distress spray stain and then used a combination of the blueprint sketch, mermaid lagoon and chipped sapphire distress inks. I used the Kaiser mist in Gold but there are other gorgeous mists you can use - Prima are a favourite with their different mist bottle desing that gives you more control over the mist and the Bo Bunny is nice too.
I used some of the excess mist from the blueprint sketch stain mist by turning the card base over and tapping it into the excess that was left n my craft sheet. I used a little of the white linen ink spray too and just flicked the ink onto the card base using the plastic tube inside the bottle. This just gives the background a lift and brings everything together. The colour combination of blues and gold is always striking.
If you want to see another example of gold glitter paste you can check out the cover of a december album that I posted on my blog here.
Hope you are having fun playing with gold, especially with the holiday season approaching! We will keep posting more examples and will be doing our 5 days in December soon (where we post Christmas ideas on the blog and facebook for the first 5 days in December).
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the facebook page to see new products and keep up to date with all the news.
