Happy New Year! Yes belatedly I know but it is still January, even if only just :)
The school holidays are nearly done and so back to school time is also nearly done too, so there will be more time for creating and sharing. For today I am sharing a card that I made last year for one of my kids teachers. It is the size of A4 cardstock folded in half, so that there is room for 20 odd parents to sign it. At that time of year, I am looking to create things that are striking and pretty without too much effort. This card was created with papers from the I love Sunshine collection by Lori Whitlock/Echo Park.
The bright fun papers, with the details on the lower layer add interest and make a fun card. The inking of the paper strips links the card together and provides contrast. Using alpha stickers is a quick way to add a tailored sentiment without getting out the stamps. A layered flower and some banners add to the bright fun feel of the card and can be quickly created or grabbed from your stash.
Thanks for stopping by and here's to a creative 2016!
