Using gold paint pens on wooden shapes

Hi Everyone,

One of the quickest ways to add gold to your projects is with a simple gold paint pen or metallic marker.  I am sharing a photograph of some of the new Kaisercraft Wooden shapes coloured with metallic markers.  They dry really fast and give great coverage.  You can get a range of colours too.

Hi everyone,

Today there are 2 ideas for using gold on your projects - glitter paste and creating a starry night sky with distress poducts and gold mist.  A favourite product for adding gold to my projects is Gold glitter paste - this is just gorgeous used with stencils (just be sure to clean it off straight away though).  You can get glitter paste in other colours too and it gives a really sturdy result - that glitter isn't going anywhere!

Touches of Gold - Part 4

Hi everyone,

Ribbons, sequins and adhesive strips are great ways to add gold to your projects too.  I created a couple of 3x4 cards that could be used in pocket page albums or even as the front of an actual card. These came together really quickly due to the products that I used.  The thin sticky strips of gold (and silver) were a great way to adhere some gold mesh ribbon and add just a little extra detail. You will see from the picture that you can get this product in gold dots too.  In my photograph I added some cute gold and silver heart shaped sequins and I have used some of the Kaisercraft Home for Christmas collectables and paper (I just love the linen style paper!)  I also love things with dots and the thin cream and gold dot ribbon is a new favourite that I will be using lots over the next few months I am sure.

Thanks for stopping by,

Kristy

Gold background

Hi everyone,

Here is a great way to use up extra gold paint, distress stain or mist to create a background for cards or scrapbook pages.  I created this by adding extra water to the excess distress paint that I had left over from the card background I had made.

Handmade card with touches of gold

Hi everyone,

Here is another card with touches of gold.  The card background was again created by swiping Tarnished Brass distress paint across the cardstock.  You can use this technique with other types of paint dabbers also and it gives a bit of a faux woodgrain effect.  For this background I left more of the kraft card showing.
