First Day of Christmas - Tealights

Hi everybody,

Don't you just love Christmas? With only 24 sleeps to go it is time to share some projects to make your Christmas special. These tealights are battery operated so safe for children to decorate and enjoy for your christmas table, decorations around your home or hanging from your tree.

They are easily created by wrapping washi tape or ribbon around the base of the tea light and then decorating with strips of bling and individual pearls and rhinestones.

More christmas ideas tomorrow and on the face book page.

tinsel & Co Reindeer and Sleigh

teresa coliins tinsel & company, kaisercraft reindeer and sleigh

Hi Everyone

With Christmas fast approaching I thought I had better start crafting and not leave everything to the last minute.

Each year I like to make a kaisercraft Reindeer and Sleigh to give away as a gift and this year I decicded to use the beautiful gold and silver Tinsel & Company collection from Teresa Collins. I have covered the sleigh with several different papers from the collection and embellished with silver rhinestones.

The reindeer has been painted with silver paint, then with extreme silver glitter and then also embellished with silver rhinestones. The nose and eyes are kaisercraft sparklets. The reindeer's antlers have been covered in the new Bo Bunny gold Glitter paste.

I have filled my sleigh with christmas baubles for now but for Christmas I plan on filling it full of yummy chocolates.

Painting with Glimmer Spray

Prima Paintable Card Painted with Glimmer Spray

Hi Everyone,

First of all, thanks to all the lovely ladies who came along to our weekend workshop.  We saw lots and lots of pages completed (up to 11 each plus a frame) and fun had.  We also got to play with some new products - Bo Bunny Glitter paste and shimmer sprays.  We have the Prima Colour Bloom Sprays instore and also have the new Bo Bunny Glimmer Sprays.

Now most people have probably seen or heard of spray mists, glimmer sprays or spray inks and seem them used to mist through stencils, create a misted background or colour chipboard/wooden shapes but probably a lesser known use to to use them as a paint.

Weekend Workshop Oct 2014 - Sneak Peak 1

Written by Kristy on . Posted in Blog

Hi everyone,

The preparations for the next Weekend Workshop on the 11th and 12th of October are well underway.  So it is time to share one of the projects that we will be making.  This project uses some of the Kaisercraft Miss Match Collection with lots of kraft, red, white and a bit of black too.  We will be layering stencils, using distress paints, gesso, texture stamp, burlap ribbon and journalling on photographs just to name a few things.

This is just one of the projects so be sure to stop by the blog and the facebook page over the next couple of weeks so you can see what we will get up to.  Places will be limited so contact Stef at Southern Stationery on 9842 2222 to book your spot or if you want further details.

Hope you can come along and I look forward to seeing you there.

Bye for now,
